The AI Chat Assistant is a built-in AI helper available on every page of the GRRO dashboard. It can answer questions about your data, run analyses, and take actions for you.
Where to find it
Click the chat icon in the bottom-right corner of any dashboard page. The assistant opens as a slide-out panel.
What it can do
The assistant has access to your GRRO data and can:
Query your recommendations – "How is my brand performing on Perplexity this week?"
Check visibility trends – "Show me my visibility score trends for the last 30 days"
Compare competitors – "How do I compare to [competitor] on ChatGPT?"
Review findings – "What alerts came in this week?"
Look up audit results – "What is the audit score for my homepage?"
Check content scores – "What's the content score for [URL]?"
View attribution data – "How much traffic came from AI search this month?"
Browse content research – "What topics should I write about next?"
Check search performance – "What are my top Google Search Console queries?"
Run new checks – "Run a citation check for 'best CRM for small business'"
Run new audits – "Audit my homepage"
Score content – "Score this URL for me: [URL]"
Generate content – "Write a comparison article about [topic]"
Manage API keys – "What API keys do I have connected?"
Switching AI providers
You can switch which AI model powers the assistant:
Claude (default)
ChatGPT
Gemini
Click the model name at the top of the chat panel to switch. Each provider may give slightly different responses.
Conversations
Your chat history is saved automatically. Each conversation gets a title based on your first message. You can start a new conversation or continue previous ones.
Custom instructions
Want the assistant to always respond in a certain way? Go to Chat Settings and add custom instructions. These are included in every conversation. For example: "Always include specific numbers when discussing my performance" or "Focus recommendations on our e-commerce vertical."
Tips
The assistant knows your brand name, domain, industry, competitors, and recent alerts automatically. You do not need to provide that context.
Use it for quick lookups instead of navigating to different dashboard pages. "What's my mention rate on ChatGPT?" is faster than clicking through tabs.
Ask it to explain findings. "Why did my visibility score drop this week?" will give you a data-backed answer.
The assistant respects your plan limits. If a feature is not available on your plan, it will let you know.
