GRRO can use your own API keys for AI providers, giving you more control over costs and usage limits.
Where to find it
Go to Settings and open the API Keys section.
Available providers
Provider | What it enables |
ChatGPT (OpenAI) | AI visibility tracking |
Claude (Anthropic) | AI agent, content generation |
Perplexity | AI visibility tracking |
Gemini (Google) | AI visibility tracking |
Grok (xAI) | AI visibility tracking |
Copilot (Microsoft) | AI visibility tracking |
How key priority works
GRRO checks for keys in this order:
Your key. If you've added your own key for a provider, GRRO uses it.
Platform default. If you haven't added a key, GRRO uses the platform's shared key (if available for your plan).
Not available. If neither exists, that provider's features are unavailable.
Adding your own keys means your usage isn't counted against shared platform limits.
Adding a key
Go to Settings and open API Keys
Find the provider you want to configure
Click Add Key
Paste your API key
Click Save
GRRO validates the key against the provider's API before saving. If the key is invalid, you'll see an error message.
Key status indicators
Connected (green). Your own key is active and working.
Platform Default (blue). Using the platform's shared key.
Not Connected (gray). No key available for this provider.
Security
Your API keys are encrypted before being stored. The full key is never displayed after saving. You'll only see a masked version. Keys are never shared between organizations.
Removing a key
Go to Settings and open API Keys
Find the provider
Click Remove
After removing a key, GRRO falls back to the platform default if one exists.
Tips
You don't need to add your own keys to use GRRO. The platform provides shared keys based on your plan.
Adding your own keys is useful if you want higher rate limits or need to use a specific account.
You can ask the GRRO Agent about your connected keys at any time.
