Source citations show you which pages on your website are being referenced by AI platforms. When an AI cites your page, it often includes a link, which drives traffic to your site.

How source citations work

When AI platforms answer questions, they sometimes reference specific web pages as sources. GRRO tracks which of your pages get cited, how often, and by which platforms.

Source trends

Source trends show how your citation frequency changes over time. A rising trend means AI platforms are referencing your content more often. A falling trend means you may need to update or improve your pages.

Top websites

This view shows which domains get cited most in your category. It helps you understand who AI considers the most authoritative sources in your industry.

If competitor domains appear above yours, it tells you where you need to improve. If your domain is near the top, it confirms your content strategy is working.

Source gap analysis

Source gap analysis is one of the most useful features in this section. It identifies pages that your competitors get cited for, but you don't.

These gaps represent opportunities. If a competitor's pricing page gets cited for "best [product] pricing" but yours doesn't, you know exactly what to work on.

Browsing by platform

You can filter citations by AI platform to see platform-specific behavior. Different AI engines may prefer different types of content. Browsing by platform helps you tailor your approach for each one.
